Mary Ellen Rourke-Falvey founded Maxwell Interior Designs a residential interior design firm located outside of Boston after many years of helping friends and neighbors create warm and inviting spaces. Mary Ellen’s aesthetic is to combine classic simplicity with a modern flair.

Mary Ellen finds that incorporating her client’s personalities into each project is essential to a successful outcome. Mary Ellen enjoys providing design advice and guidance but encourages clients to be fully involved in the design process so that the end result is a true reflection of each client’s individual style and a place her clients are happy to come home to each day. Mary Ellen offers a variety of services from full scale interior design, to interior "facelifts", or styling a home to get ready for market, Mary Ellen’s goal is to create spaces that are beautiful, unique, comfortable, within budget, and a reflection of the people who live there.

Interior design has always been a passion of Mary Ellen’s whether it was re-arranging her college dorm room or a friend’s home, she knew someday it would become a full time pursuit. Throughout her life, Mary Ellen was encouraged and inspired by her mother Marilyn Maxwell Rourke to pursue her creative interests.
